We at Pennridge Pediatrics are concerned with the health of infants, children and adolescents, their growth and development, and their opportunity to achieve full potential as adults. To foster this, we encourage regular well child care which includes annual physical exams, developmental assessments, vaccinations, and screening tests when indicated.

- Announcements 1440- SEASONAL FLU UPDATE: 10/28/09--Shipment of our next order of seasonal flu vaccine has been delayed; therefore, we will not be scheduling additional appointments at this time. Any appointments that were cancelled due to this delay, will be rescheduled on a priority basis as soon as additional vaccine is received. WE WILL UPDATE THIS WEBSITE AS SOON AS ADDITIONAL VACCINE IS RECEIVED. Please note that most of the illness currently circulating in our area is not seasonal influenza; therefore, there is no immediate urgency to get the vaccine. Incidents of seasonal flu in our area during the past two years has peaked in February or March.
- SWINE FLU UPDATE: 11/19/9 Pennridge Pediatrics has just received a supply of H1N1 (swine flu) injectable and flumist vaccine for patients over 4 years of age. We also have injectable vaccine for children under 3 years of age. For those patients under 3 who have already received the first dose of H1N1 at our office, you many now call to schedule their booster doses. APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW BEING SCHEDULED IN BOTH OFFICES. **PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INJECTABLE VACCINE FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE AGE 3. Children who are age 3 to under 4 may receive the flumist as long as they do not have the following underlying health issues: chronic respitory diseases such as asthma or RAD, heart disease, metabolic or endocrine disorders, kidney, liver, or hematologic disorders (including sickle cell disease), neuromuscular disorders, or mental retardation. IF AND WHEN WE DO RECEIVE AN INJECTABLE VACCINE FOR CHILDREN WITH THESE CONDITIONS, THIS SITE WILL BE UPDATED. - RED FLAG RULE: In compliance with new federal regulations designed to prevent identify theft, parents of all new patients to our practice will be required to present a valid photo ID in order for their children to be seen at our office.
